Thoughts? Reactions? Further desires to bean a good one on Whedon?

Still Here,

Patrick

It was...okay.

It needs work. It seems like they are trying to hang the entire series on Eliza's shoulder's which would be a mistake. Amy Acker's there and there were a few other support cast that could potentially make a nice ensemble cast. I'm not saying Eliza can't carry a show, but she shouldn't be held solely responsible for it's success or failure.

Here's hoping it shapes up,

I think it's like Whedonist said. To paraphrase: the show has potential. I wasn't thrilled but I wasn't turned off either.

The one thing that did irk me was the commercial spots. "Let us become you Friday night date." Please...

That was a bit tedious.

But the show itself was solid enough.

I give it six months.

I was skeptical. VERY skeptical.

The first episode had me thinking "it's got potential, but it needs work", like everyone else

Now it's three episodes in, and it's really starting to shine. Dushku is always fun to watch, and here you get to see several (slightly) different Dushkus!
Amy Acker's character shows promise, Echo's and Sierra's friendship (which apparently they're trying to hide from everyone) is the beginning of the whole "oh noes! they are remembering! BLOOD AND GUTS AND HORROR EVERYWHERE!" premise that the show's based on.

also, the looming threat of Alpha is neato.

from what I've seen so far, it's more Tru Calling than it is Buffy/Firefly/Angel. it's not revolutionary, but it's entertaining. I'll keep watching

My only gripe thus far, is that I think they've showed her remembering too much, or having a personality, too early in the show. And then having Sierra remember too even though she's supposed to be 'new to all this' seems a little bit off to me. *shrugs*

FYI...thought this (Dollhouse Critique) was a fairly decent review and one i find myself agreeing with....except the part at the top where she says she'd turn into a blathering idiot if she met Joss...

I'm still on a solid thawping then maybe conversation over a cuppa coffee and a smoke

:cheese:

Me: So Joss, have you ever seen the movie Misery?
Joss: Nope.
Me: Well then, this is going to be entirely new for you!
(Screaming starts).

Still Here,

While going all Misery on him would be at least mildly entertaining...what about we set him up Clockwork Orange style and force him to watch things like Dawson's Creek, Desperate Housewives & Glitter...

maybe even throw in some Gigli....

Just a thought...
